how to make a gradient

Create gradient v2 is easier than this!

What you'll need:
  • One of the Photoshop programs.

  • the steps

    1. Click on the gradient tool. You might have to right click the paint bucket tool to find the gradient tool.

    2. Click on the gradient you'll see at the top of your photoshop. The picture below is the gradient I am talking about. (Ofcourse the gradient you'll be clicking is not the same as the one I am clicking). Clicking it where I put the black rectangle is where you should be clicking it. Do NOT click the little arrow.

    3. Make the top little swatches the same as mine. Click on them to drag them. Don't worry about your bottom ones yet, like if there's a bunch of them. That's explained in the next step.

    4. I do not know how many little swatches you have on the bottom, so if you have more than you need click the ones you don't need and click 'delete'. Do that for each one you don't need. I will only have 4 on the bottom because I am using my 4 color scheme. If you need to add more of them because you don't have enough than if you hover a little bit to the right of any of the bottom swatches you should see a little white hand appear. Just click and it should create another.

    5. Now spread out your swatches where they are kind of evenly spaced out like I did.

    6. Now on to changing the colors of each one. To do this, double click on the first little swatch. In the box thing that pops up you choose the color of the first color in your color scheme. You should know the html color code of all the colors in your color scheme. If you don't than contact me and I will help you get the color codes of them. If you already know the html color code of your first color than put it in the area I outlined in black below.

    7. Repeat this for all the swatches you have - using the rest of your colors.

    8. Where you see "Name:____________" name the gradient yet again and then click new. (I outlined the whole area I am talking about in black).
