download cc & mods
There are a ton of places to find cc. You can just google it and have a massive amount of stuff pop up. Here are a few places that I personally absolutely love. **I will add to this list sometimes. There's just so many, I'd be here all day listing them all*

I'm linking fun mods in a different tutorial.
1. Ok once you download something, unzip the file if it's zipped. If you don't know how to unzip files than click here Now your file you need should be a .package file.
Example:
2. Go to Documents >> Electronic Arts >> The Sims 4 >> Mods >>
You can create a folder for them in the Mods section if you want to organize them. For example, if you downloaded a hairstyle than you can create a folder called hairstyles. Now drag your .package file into your folder.
that's it!
download mods
It is extremely important when downloading mods that you read the directions they give you. Sometimes mods can only go in the main mods folder and not a sub folder (example: mods > hairstyles is a subfolder). Sometimes sims updates and new packs can mess up parts of a mod, so you're going to want to make sure you check for updates for your mods sometimes.1. Do exactly what you did with the cc. Drag the file into the mods folder. I don't suggest putting mods in a subfolder. I suggest keeping them in the main mods folder.
IMPORTANT
PLEASE MAKE SURE SCRIPTS/MODS ARE ENABLED IN YOUR SIMS GAME OR NONE OF THIS WILL WORK!!!Go to Game Options >> Other >>
